Dear Author of Past, Present and Future,

I remember the first time she passed by me, as she tick-tocked, looking like a magic wand,
She was a gorgeous first class girl, even though they called her the second hand.

I always hoped she’d stop and I’d get to know her, but she never had time to spare,
Every minute she circled by, I couldn’t help but stop and stare.

I was falling in love with a stranger, how she came and caught me so unawares.
How she made this minute man, suddenly start to care.

I tried to keep up with her pace, but for every step I took, she took sixty,
She was way ahead and out of my league, she made pursuing her tricky.

I went to ask my father for advice but he had retired, only moving by the hour,
He had twelve
